Passionate about health and fitness, John is a qualified Personal Trainer and Level 4 Specialist Exercise Instructor. He is experienced in Cardiac Rehabilitation, Falls Prevention, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Stroke Rehabilitation and Cancer Rehabilitation, and delivers classes daily. John is a Triathlon Coach and competes in Ironman distance events.
Whilst delivering classes and personal training, John noted how obvious and important Pilates was to flexibility, muscular endurance and body awareness. As a result he trained as a level 3 Pilates instructor, delivering classes for Practical Pilates in the Swansea area and as Pilates Plus in Llanelli.
Elfed's unique style ensures students an enjoyable and imformative Pilates experience. Not only qualified as a level 3 Pilates Instructor, Elfed also has a Yoga background and has been practising for 20 years.
In 2011 he gained his teaching diploma with the British Wheel of Yoga, closely followed with the B.W.Y. Pregnancy Module. This has enabled him to teach Yoga and Pregnancy Yoga, alongside regular Pilates and Mother and Baby Pilates - great fun for Mums and their Little Ones!
Elfed's hobbies include long distance swimming and running, with his favourite quote being "Festina lente!" - "Make haste slowly!"
We are very fortunate to have the vast experience of Michelle to add to our team. Involved for over 20 years within the fitness industry, she brings her knowledge of Exercise to Music into the flowing moves of her Pilates classes.
Michelle is a Level 3 Pilates Instructor and a L4 Specialist Exercise Instructor, so is experienced with people needing care with Heart Conditions, Stroke, COPD and Falls Prevention. With a background in Zumba, Zumba Step, Zumba Kids and Aqua Aerobics, there is very little that she doesn't know about keeping fit and healthy and she has even run a few marathons!
Michelle feels that Pilates offers a mind/body focus which helps individuals achieve their goals.
